Der Schooner "MV Amira"
Welcome aboard the «Amira» our fabulous
live-aboard in Indonesia!
The initial stimulus was our own enthusiasm for the amazing
marine and submarine worlds of Indonesia. Next, was
the idea to build a diving cruise ship to satisfy the highest
demands.
Now this dream has come true. The «Amira» really has
become a «Princess» of the Indonesian seas. First class
details, well chosen materials and stylish luxury go together
with high safety standards and latest diving navigation and
rescue equipment.
Amazingly beautiful, she has become our «MSV Amira»
just perfect to take you to the most beautiful diving locations
of Indonesia – offering an underwater experience of
exceptional quality combined with the finest comfort above
the surface. Our dedicated crew of some 25 members is
trained to the best standards in the field, always motivated
to provide first-class service for our guests. This is because,
although we set demanding standards, we also work as team
and play our part as fair and generous employers.
In other
words, we want to embrace the long-term commitments of
looking after our guests, our crew and also nurturing the
natural environment. These are all parts of the dream that
has come true through «Amira». So be prepared to be
amazed by Indonesia and the peerless experience delivered

The «Amira» is built for diving,
combining
high levels of comfort and convenience
Everything is designed to make diving as secure and pleasant
for our guests and for the on-board experience to be relaxed
and comfortable. Particular importance was placed
on achieving harmony with the traditional shipbuilding
methods with the latest technical equipment.
High quality materials, fine details and generous layouts
distinguish the character of the «Amira». All of the
five spacious double cabins as well as the two single cabins
are provided with an integrated bathroom, individual airconditioning
and several large portholes.
There are three
more double cabins with bigger windows on the upper
deck. Just as comfortable and well designed is the lounge
area where you will find a restaurant, a cosy TV corner and
a computer centre.
On the dive deck, everything is created to allow smooth
dive sessions. Generous space is provided for all guests,
guides and the equipment. Directly adjacent is the camera
room with a spacious working surface – enough for each
diver to recharge and maintain his camera equipment.
As you will see: Everything is prepared and ready for
you. Welcome aboard of the «Amira»!
Diving with the «Amira»
will surely be a
unique and the experience of a lifetime.
This is avouched by our cruise director Bruno Hopff. Born
in Switzerland, he has been living in Indonesia since 2004,
where working as a dive instructor and cruise director,
he has the experience of more than 4000 dives at many
different dive sites. Besides German he also speaks English,
French and Indonesian and is also founder and co-owner
of the Amira Dive & Travel GmbH. – On a typical diving day 4 dives are on offer
(3 day dives and 1 night dive)
– One dive guide is assigned per 4 – 5 divers (each guide
with more than 1000 dives in Indonesia)
– The 3 tenders have radio communication equipment
and oxygen in case of an emergency
– For increased safety, especially in areas of stronger
currents, the «Amira» is the first ship in Indonesia
to use the Enos® electronic positioning system.
– Nitrox (32 %) is available at no extra cost on board
of the «Amira»
On the spacious dive deck, all divers have their own space.
The equipment stays on the tanks during the whole safari
and the tanks are refilled in situ. Besides the rinse tanks,
large storage areas for cameras and dive lamps are provided
for your disposal.
